Dr Lim Li Lin is a Senior Consultant in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore. She also serves as the Director of the Endoscopy Centre and holds the academic appointment of Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS), on the Clinician Track.
Dr Lim graduated with a medical degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and completed her residency training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She obtained her Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP, UK) and is accredited as a Specialist in Gastroenterology by the Ministry of Health, Singapore.
Awarded the prestigious Health Manpower Development Program (HMDP) scholarship, Dr. Lim pursued advanced fellowship training in Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) under Professor Guido Costamagna in Rome, Italy.
While her clinical focus is in general gastroenterology and hepatology, her subspecialty interest lies in therapeutic endoscopy. Dr. Lim is also deeply involved in clinical nutrition and has led the Parenteral Nutrition Service at NUH since 2008.
Beyond her clinical duties, Dr Lim is the Clinical Lead for LUMENS NUHS and actively contributes to healthcare improvement as a Trainer and Facilitator for EQUIP (Enabling Quality Improvement in Clinical Practice), a NUH quality improvement programme.
Dr Daphnee Lovesley, PhD, RD

Dr Daphnee Lovesley is a highly respected Registered Clinical Dietitian with over 28 years of experience in clinical nutrition. She currently serves as the Director of the Apollo Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics Internship Program (ACNDIP) and was instrumental in establishing the Nutrition Steering Committee at Apollo Hospitals.
She holds a PhD in Clinical Nutrition with a specialization in liver transplant nutrition and has completed the Professional Diploma in Clinical Research (PDCR). Deeply committed to academic excellence, Dr Daphnee is a Board of Studies member in Nutrition at institutions such as Women’s Christian College, Manipal University, and Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science & Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore.
A strong advocate for advancing clinical nutrition on a global stage, Dr Daphnee serves as the General Secretary of the Indian PEN Society (ISPEN) and is an active member of leading international bodies including ASPEN and ESPEN. She contributes to the ASPEN Malnutrition Committee and is a reviewer for top-tier journals such as JPEN, Journal of Human Nutrition & Dietetics, Clinical Nutrition Open Access, and Journal of Liver Transplantation.
Her scholarly contributions include numerous publications in international journals and authorship of key chapters in acclaimed resources such as the Apollo Clinical Nutrition Handbook, My Food, My Health, Textbook of Critical Care Nutrition, and A Complete Nutrition Guide: Adolescence to Motherhood. She has also led the development of foundational clinical tools, including the Apollo Clinical Nutrition Manual (Adults and Pediatrics) and the Dietitian’s Pocket Books series.
Dr Daphnee’s dedication to quality improvement and innovation has earned her several accolades, including the ET Healthcare Award 2024 for Nutrition Support, the CMO Asia Award 2017 for Best Quality Initiative in Healthcare, and the Apollo Clinical Excellence Award 2018 for the development of the Digital Dietitian Module. Dr Jonathan Lee is a Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore, and an Assistant Professor at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He currently serves as the Director of Research for the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at NUH.
Dr Lee completed a prestigious two-year full-time overseas research training fellowship (2019–2021) under the National Research Medical Council (NRMC) at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, USA. During his fellowship under the mentorship of Prof. Ramnik Xavier, he focused on microbiome multi-omics, furthering his expertise in translational microbiome medicine.
He is a leading clinician in microbiome-driven therapies and oversees the clinical faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) service at NUH. His research interests lie in the application of microbial metagenomics to gastrointestinal diseases, particularly in prognosticating outcomes for patients with inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal adenomatous polyps.
Dr Lee is also a Principal Investigator at the Institute for Health Innovation and Technology (iHealthtech) at the National University of Singapore, where he leads translational research initiatives to harness microbiome science for clinical applications.
Professor Angela Yee-Moon Wang, MD (UNSW), PhD (HKU)

Professor Angela Yee-Moon Wang is a leading clinician and academic in nephrology, currently serving as Clinical Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and Senior Consultant in Renal Medicine at Singapore General Hospital. She is the immediate past Councilor of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), and has held numerous leadership roles including Chair of the ISN Education Working Group and the ISN North and East Asia Regional Board. She is also a member of the ISN Cardio-Renal Roadmap initiative.
Prof. Wang is the Past President of the International Society of Renal Nutrition and Metabolism (ISRNM), a past Executive Committee member of KDIGO, and has served on the Council of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD). She has contributed to several key international guideline workgroups, including the upcoming KDIGO Anemia Guidelines in CKD (2025), the KDOQI Nutrition Guidelines in CKD (2020), and ISPD’s High-Quality Goal-Directed PD Guidelines (2020). She currently chairs the Joint ISRNM-ISPD Practice Recommendations on Nutrition Management in PD Patients (2023–2025) and previously chaired the ISPD Cardiovascular and Metabolic Guidelines for Adult PD Patients (2015).
She has been honored with multiple prestigious international awards, including the Thomas Addis Award (ISRNM, 2022), Joel D. Kopple Award (National Kidney Foundation, USA, 2018), Travelling Lecturer Award (Asia Pacific Federation of Clinical Biochemistry, 2011/2012), and the John F. Maher Award (ISPD, 2006).
Prof. Wang has authored over 240 peer-reviewed publications and 15 book chapters, and has delivered more than 240 invited lectures at major international and regional conferences. She serves on the editorial boards of numerous journals including Kidney International, JASN, CJASN, Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation (NDT), Journal of Renal Nutrition, and Journal of Diabetes, and is Associate Editor of Nephron Clinical Practice. She also previously served as Associate Editor of AJKD.
Her research focuses on peritoneal dialysis, cardio-renal-metabolic health, CKD-Mineral Bone Disease (CKD-MBD), and renal nutrition. Her current work is centered on clinical trials, precision medicine, and innovations aimed at improving kidney disease outcomes and advancing preventive nephrology.

Prof. Philipp Schuetz is a board-certified internist, endocrinologist, and clinical nutrition specialist. Born in Switzerland, he studied Medicine in Switzerland and Paris. He currently heads the Department of Medicine at Kantonsspital Aarau and holds a professorship in Medicine and Endocrinology/Nutrition at the University of Basel.
Prof. Schuetz also serves as President of both the Swiss Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (GESKES) and the Federal Commission for Nutrition in Switzerland. His academic contributions include over 300 publications in leading journals such as The Lancet, JAMA, and Annals of Internal Medicine. He is the recipient of a prestigious research professorship from the Swiss National Science Foundation and is the principal investigator of the EFFORT I and II trials—the largest randomized controlled studies to date investigating the impact of clinical nutrition in hospitalized and post-discharge patients.
His research aims to advance personalized nutrition through better patient phenotyping and the identification of nutritional biomarkers to guide therapy and improve outcomes.
Prof In Kyu Lee, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. In Kyu Lee is a distinguished colorectal surgeon and academic leader at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, where he serves as Professor in the Department of Surgery. He also directs the Colorectal Cancer Center, demonstrating his commitment to advancing both clinical care and surgical oncology.
Dr. Lee held several key leadership positions, including Chief of the Division of Colorectal Surgery (2017–2021) and Associate Dean for Information Services at the College of Medicine (2015–2017). From 2021 to 2022, he also served as Vice-Chairman for Planning and Coordination at the Catholic Medical Center.
An influential figure in professional societies, Dr. Lee currently serves as Director of the Academic Committee for both the Asian Society of Surgical Metabolism and Nutrition and the Korean Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. He has also previously held leadership roles in the Korean Society of Geriatric Surgery and the Korean Society of Surgical Metabolism and Nutrition. Dr. Daruneewan Warodomwichit, M.D.

Dr. Daruneewan Warodomwichit is a physician and academic leader specializing in clinical nutrition. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Prince of Songkla University and holds board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Clinical Nutrition. With advanced training in nutrigenomics from the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University, USA, Dr. Warodomwichit is at the forefront of personalized nutrition research and practice.
She currently serves as the Director of the Home Parenteral Healthcare Unit and Deputy Head of the Department of Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. In addition, she plays a key role in academic development as a leading figure in the university’s M.Sc. and Ph.D. postgraduate programs in Nutrition.
Dr. Warodomwichit is the President of the Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition of Thailand. Her research has been widely published in international peer-reviewed journals, focusing on the intersections of obesity, lipid metabolism, clinical nutrition, and personalized approaches to healthcare.
Professor Jeyakumar Henry, PhD, FIFT, FASN

Professor Jeyakumar Henry is an internationally renowned expert in food science and human nutrition. He currently serves as Consultant at the Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health, National University of Singapore. He was the Founding Director of both the Clinical Nutrition Research Centre at A*STAR, Singapore (2011–2023), and the Functional Food Centre in Oxford, UK.
With a foundation in food science and a PhD in Human Nutrition from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Professor Henry has played a pivotal role in bridging food science and nutrition both regionally and globally. He served as Editor-in-Chief for The International Journal of Food Sciences and Nutrition and Advances in Food and Nutrition Research. He has also been a board member of the UK Food Standards Agency and has advised international bodies such as UNICEF, FAO, and WHO on global nutrition issues.
Professor Henry holds numerous leadership and advisory roles, including positions on the Board of Directors of the International Life Sciences Institute Southeast Asia (ILSI-SEA), the Board of Governors of the International Medical College (Malaysia), and the Advisory Board of the Monell Chemical Senses Center (USA).
In recognition of his global impact on nutrition science, he has received multiple prestigious awards, including the British Nutrition Foundation Prize (2010), the Niigata International Food Award—also known as the “Asian World Food Prize” (2018), and the W.K. Kellogg International Food Security Award from the Institute of Food Technologists, USA (2019). In 2012, he was made a Fellow of the International Academy of Food Scientists and Technologists, and most recently, in 2024, he was elected Fellow of the American Society for Nutrition—the highest honour in human nutritional science.
Prof. Jaemyeong Lee, MD, PhD

Prof. Jaemyeong Lee is a Professor of Surgery at Korea University Anam Hospital in Seoul, Korea, specializing in acute care surgery and critical care. She also chairs the hospital’s Rapid Response Team and Nutritional Support Team and serves as Vice-Chair of the Severe Trauma Management Team.
She earned her medical degree from Ajou University School of Medicine in 2003, followed by a Master’s in Surgery from Ulsan Medical College and a PhD in Surgery and Biochemistry from Ajou University. Prof. Lee completed her surgical residency at Asan Medical Center and underwent further training in critical care medicine, including a research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in the United States.
Prof. Lee’s clinical expertise includes surgical intensive care, trauma management, and multidisciplinary critical care. She has held prominent academic and leadership roles, contributing significantly to the development of evidence-based practices in perioperative and critical care nutrition.
Prof. Dong Woo Shin, M.D.

Prof. Dong Woo Shin graduated from the College of Medicine at Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea, in 1990. Following his military service and early involvement in social work with the news media of young doctors, he completed his surgical residency training at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University, from 1994 to 1997. He subsequently served as an Instructor in the Department of Surgery at Severance Hospital before joining Jesaeng Hospital of Bundang as a Staff Surgeon from 2000 to 2011.
Since 2012, he has been a Professor of Surgery at Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University. Prof. Shin holds several leadership appointments, including Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Korean Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Executive Director of the Korean Society for Surgical Metabolism and Nutrition, and a Committee Member for the Korean Surgical Society’s Medical Practice Review. He also previously served as Director of Insurance Policy for the Korean Gastric Cancer Society.
Ms Ng Puay Shi

Mr Ernest Wong Kok Wah

Mr Ernest Wong Kok Wah is a Senior Dietitian at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, with a decade of clinical nutrition experience specializing in critical care and infectious diseases. As a member of the Intensive Care Unit Council, he has contributed to the development of nutrition care protocols for critically ill patients.
He holds a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (First Class Honours) from Monash University and a Master of Science (Infectious Disease) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London. His research portfolio includes significant contributions to the understanding of nutrition support in critically ill and malnourished patients, particularly those affected by COVID-19, with co-authorship in several inter-hospital collaborative studies published in peer-reviewed journals.
Mr Ernest has also conducted research auditing the nutritional status of inpatient tuberculosis patients, with findings presented at a regional infectious diseases conference. He is currently leading research initiatives exploring nutrition risk factors in post-intensive care syndrome (PICS) and investigating the research culture among allied health professionals and pharmacists.
Dr. Rebecca Stratton, PhD, RD, RNutr, MBDA

Dr. Rebecca Stratton is a Dietitian and nutritional scientist, currently serving as a Senior Medical Director in Research & Innovation for Danone Nutricia. She is also an Honorary Senior Fellow at the University of Southampton. Dr. Stratton co-created the Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST) and has actively chaired the Malnutrition Action Group of the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN), overseeing the UK Malnutrition Awareness Week Nutrition Surveys for the past five years.
She was recently honored with the John Lennard Jones Medal for outstanding work in Clinical Nutrition by BAPEN and is a faculty member of the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN).
With over 25 years of experience in medical nutrition research at the Universities of Cambridge and Southampton, as well as at Danone Nutricia, Dr. Stratton is a leading researcher in malnutrition and nutrition support across all ages. She has authored more than 280 publications and continues to lead numerous clinical trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses, with the aim of advancing the evidence base for medical nutrition and improving patient care.
Prof. Hyunah Kim

Prof. Hyunah Kim is a Professor at the College of Pharmacy, Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul, Republic of Korea. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Samford University and completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency in the United States.
Her research focuses on clinical nutrition and pharmacotherapy, with particular interests in drug–nutrient interactions and medication-related nutrient deficiencies. Prof. Kim has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications and has presented her work at numerous international clinical nutrition conferences.
She is actively involved in leadership roles within several professional societies, including the Korean Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and the Korean College of Clinical Pharmacy, where she continues to contribute to advancing the field of clinical pharmacy and nutrition.
Dr Charles Lew, PhD

Dr. Charles Lew is a Senior Principal Dietitian at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), where he also co-chairs the Allied Health Research Panel and leads the Nutrition Support Service in the Intensive Care Unit. He holds a PhD from Flinders University, Australia.
In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Lew is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Dietetics and Nutrition Programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (JPEN) and is a member of the international Critical Care Nutrition research group, contributing to global trials and systematic reviews focused on nutrition in critically ill patients.
Dr. Lew has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals such as CHEST, Critical Care Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, and JPEN. He is also the lead author of the Malnutrition Chapter in the 22nd edition of Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine.
His research interests include malnutrition, enteral and parenteral nutrition, and refeeding syndrome.
Prof Suk-Kyung Hong

Prof. Stanislaw Klek is a specialist in general and cancer surgery, currently serving as the Head of the Surgical Oncology Clinic and Medical Director at the National Cancer Institute in Krakow, Poland. He also leads the Intestinal Failure Center at Stanley Dudrick’s Memorial Hospital in Skawina.
Prof. Klek has played a pivotal role in advancing clinical nutrition across Europe. He is the Chairman of ESPEN for the 2024–2028 term and was among the first to receive the ESPEN Diploma in 2010 and serve as an ESPEN LLL Teacher since 2008. He also chaired the International Section of ASPEN (2018–2020) and presided over the 41st ESPEN Congress in 2019. Since 2013, he has been an Associate Editor for Clinical Nutrition.
A prolific academic, Prof. Klek has published over 230 original articles, 30 case reports, 18 book chapters, and more than 150 conference abstracts.
Outside of medicine, he is an accomplished endurance athlete with 15 Ironman 140.6 races (including the Kona World Championship 2024), 14 Ironman 70.3 events, 6 Olympic triathlons, 2 ultratriathlons (Norseman 2023, Harda 2024), 4 ultramarathons, and 19 marathons to his name.

Dr. Abdolreza Norouzy is a Professor of Clinical Nutrition at the Iran University of Medical Sciences. He earned his medical degree from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in 1998 and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition at King’s College London in 2000. He went on to obtain his PhD in Nutrition from King’s College London in 2003. Following this, Dr. Norouzy pursued his specialty training in General Internal Medicine in Norwich and Leicester, United Kingdom, which he completed in 2008.
Dr. Norouzy is a founding member and the current President of the Iranian Society for Clinical Nutrition. He also served as the Chair of the Asian Clinical Nutrition Association (PENSA) from 2015 to 2016. His research focuses on nutritional support in critically ill patients and humanitarian crisis settings.

| Synopsis | Sarcopenia, the progressive loss of muscle mass and strength, affects 10% to 27% of adults aged 60 and above. Disease-related malnutrition and muscle loss exacerbate prevalence in hospital to approximately one in four. Sarcopenia increases risks of frailty, falls, and hospitalization, making early detection and management crucial.
Accurate and regular assessment of muscle mass, strength, and function is essential in clinical settings to prevent, diagnose and treat sarcopenia. Techniques range from simple, non-invasive methods to advanced technologies like bedside ultrasound and CT scans. Regular monitoring can identify sarcopenia early, enabling proactive measures to prevent further muscle loss and associated complications. This hands-on interactive workshop incorporates recommendations of the latest sarcopenia guidelines and features four stations that include physical examination, anthropometric measures, functional tests and ultrasound, each structured to teach and enhance accuracy of specific clinical skills. Nutrition Support Team members, physicians, and dietitians in both inpatient and outpatient settings will benefit from this program. |

Dr. Veeradej Pisprasert is a highly regarded expert in clinical nutrition, metabolic disorders, and malnutrition management. He is an Associate Professor in the Division of Clinical Nutrition, Department of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, Thailand, where he has been a faculty member since 2003. Dr. Pisprasert earned his MD (First-Class Honors) from Mahidol University (1999), followed by postgraduate diplomas in Clinical Sciences (2001), Internal Medicine (2003), Family Medicine (2004), and Clinical Nutrition (2010) from the Medical Council of Thailand. Prof. em Rémy Meier is a distinguished specialist in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition, with a career spanning over four decades in clinical practice, research, and medical education. He completed his medical training at the University of Zürich (1975–1981) and later earned his Professorship in Gastroenterology at the University of Basel in 2008.
From 1987 to 2014, Prof. Meier served at the University Hospital of Liestal, where he was Head of the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (1994–2014). Following his retirement from hospital and university duties in 2014, he has remained highly active as a consultant and educator, engaging in global teaching initiatives.

Prof. Gil Hardy is a globally recognized expert in pharmaceutical and clinical nutrition, with a distinguished career spanning research, innovation, and leadership. Trained as a biochemist in the UK, he conducted research under Nobel Laureate Professor Sir Hans Krebs at the University of Oxford. He played a pioneering role in parenteral nutrition, co-developing the first disposable 3-litre parenteral nutrition bag at St Mark’s Hospital, London.
With over 250 publications, Prof. Hardy’s research has focused on lipids, glutamine, micronutrients, and chyme reinfusion therapy for intestinal failure. He is a founding and life member of the British Pharmaceutical Nutrition Group and has held key positions in major nutrition societies, including BAPEN, the UK and NZ Nutrition Societies, and AuSPEN, where he served as Vice President.
He has been deeply involved with ESPEN and ASPEN since their inception, serving on research committees and as an elected ASPEN Fellow (2015). From 2020 to 2022, he was on the Board of Directors of ASPEN, representing the organization in the International Human Rights for Clinical Nutrition Working Group and as a board member of WASPEN (West African Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition).
